Lisa Sager, MD
Lisa Sager, MD, recently joined the Health Quest Medical Practice Division of Primary Care in Hyde Park and will treat patients ages 18 and older.
The Highland resident is also a palliative medicine specialist at the Dyson Center for Cancer Care in Poughkeepsie. Prior to joining Health Quest, Sager served as a palliative medicine physician with Hudson Valley Regional Palliative Care in Poughkeepsie, now Health Quest Medical Practice Supportive Care Medicine at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie.
Dr. Sager earned her medical degree from the State University of New York Upstate Medical University in Syracuse. She completed her residency in family medicine at Sacred Heart Hospital in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Qiujie Jiang, MD, earned her medical degree from Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nuremburg in Germany and completed her residency in dermatology and cutaneous biology at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. She specializes in dermatology and provides care to patients in Goshen, Monroe and Newburgh.
Archit V. Patel, MD
Archit V. Patel, MD, is a fellowship-trained orthopedic hand and upper extremity surgeon. He earned his medical degree from Washington University in St. Louis and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Patel is board-certified in orthopedic surgery and completed fellowship training in orthopedic hand and upper extremity at The University of Chicago. He provides care to patients in Middletown, Monroe, Newburgh and New Windsor.
Edmund Donovan, FNP-C
Edmund Donovan, FNP-C, completed his Master of Science degree at The College of New Rochelle in New Rochelle, New York, and is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. Donovan specializes in electrophysiology, and his clinical interests include cardiology and arrhythmia. He provides care to patients as part of Crystal Run’s cardiology team in Middletown.

Lau, MD, earned his medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville and completed his residency in otolaryngology–head and neck surgery at the University of California, Los Angeles. Dr. Lau is board-certified in otolaryngology–head and neck surgery and is providing care to patients in Monroe and West Nyack.

Paula Fessler, RN, MSN, MS, FNP-BC
Westchester Medical Center Health Network (WMCHealth) welcomes Paula Fessler, RN, MSN, MS, FNP-BC, as Chief Nurse Executive for the health network’s Valhalla and Poughkeepsie campuses. In her new role, Fessler will oversee all nursing operations at WMCHealth’s flagship Westchester Medical Center, Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital and the Behavioral Health Center in Valhalla, as well as MidHudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie.
Fessler brings to WMCHealth more than 20 years of clinical experience and a passion for leading teams to deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care. Most recently, Fessler served for four years as Vice President of the Emergency Medicine service line at Northwell Health, overseeing 17 emergency departments and numerous urgent care facilities. Her clinical experience also includes roles at the Mayo Clinic, St. Louis Children’s Hospital and the University of Rochester Medical Center.
After earning an undergraduate nursing degree at Syracuse University, Fessler earned a family nurse practitioner degree from Duke University and a Master of Science degree with an emphasis in health care from the Simon Business School at the University of Rochester.

Christine Wang, MD, FAAP

Family nurse practitioner Denise McGovern recently joined the Health Quest Medical Practice Division of Primary Care in Hopewell Junction. McGovern previously served as a registered nurse in the Emergency Department at Putnam Hospital Center in Carmel, New York, and Northern Westchester Hospital in Mount Kisco, New York, for more than seven years.
After earning her master’s degree in nursing in 2016, she worked as a family nurse practitioner in an urgent and primary care setting at FirstCare Walk-In Medical Center in Highland, New York. She earned her master’s in business administration, marketing and operations management from Rollins College in Orlando, Florida, and her master’s in nursing from Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh.
David Scarpino retired Dec. 31 as President and CEO of HealthAlliance of the Hudson Valley in Kingston. On Jan. 1, Tom Brunelle became Interim Executive Director of the HealthAlliance Hospitals as WMCHealth conducts a search to find a permanent successor to Scarpino. Brunelle, who has more than 30 years of healthcare executive experience, was most recently Executive Vice President of the Bon Secours Charity Health System, overseeing St. Anthony Community Hospital in Warwick and Bon Secours Community Hospital in Port Jervis.
Brunelle will be based in Kingston and will report to Robert S. Ross, WMCHealth’s Executive Vice President for the Northern Region.
Lev Davidson, MD
Lev Davidson, MD, a leading hematologist and medical oncologist, has been named Director of the Cancer Treatment and Wellness Center at Northern Westchester Hospital.
Prior to becoming Director of the Cancer Treatment and Wellness Center, Dr. Davidson was part of a large oncology private practice serving patients in Putnam County and northern Westchester County. He has treated patients at Northern Westchester Hospital since 2011 and was a key member of the team that developed the Hospital’s Blood Avoidance Program.
Dr. Davidson graduated from Ross University School of Medicine, Portsmouth, Dominica, and completed his residency at Westchester Medical Center, New York Medical College, in Valhalla, New York. He completed his subspecialty fellowship training in hematology and medical oncology at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington. He is board-certified in internal medicine, hematology and medical oncology and actively participates in ongoing research in this field.
