CareMount Medical, the largest independent multispecialty medical group in New York state, is pleased to announce the appointment of six new physicians in internal medicine, pediatrics, neurology, and obstetrics and gynecology:

Howard Hinestroza, MD, MSc, board-certified pediatrician, received his MD from Mount Sinai School of Medicine of New York University and did his residency at Miami Children’s Hospital. He completed a clinical research fellowship at Weill Cornell Medical College and an adolescent medicine fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine.

Paul Magda, DO, board–certified in neurology, electrodiagnostic medicine and neuromuscular medicine, received his DO from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency at Saint Vincent’s Hospital. He is an alumnus of fellowships in clinical neurophysiology and neuromuscular diseases at Weill Medical College of Cornell University.

Amy Magneson, MD, FACOG, board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology, received her MD from New York Medical College and completed her residency in OB-GYN at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center.

Paul Mullin, MD, a neurologist, received his MD from Georgetown University and served as an intern in internal medicine at Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown, New York, and the University of Arizona, Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix. Dr. Mullin completed his neurology residency at UCLA and did a fellowship in epilepsy and clinical neurophysiology at Johns Hopkins Comprehensive Epilepsy Center and UCLA Medical Center.

Carroll Anne Rayner, MD, board-certified in internal medicine, received her MD from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed her internship and residency at The Brookdale Foundation Group/National Institute on Aging and Mount Sinai Medical Center.

Jimmy Wong, MD, board-certified in internal medicine, is a graduate of SUNY School of Medicine at Buffalo and completed his residency at Saint Vincent’s Catholic Medical Centers.



Zoe Weinstein, MD

Zoe Weinstein, MD, a board-certified breast surgeon practicing in the Mid Hudson Valley for more than a decade, has joined the medical staff of Westchester Medical Center Health Network (WMCHealth), with privileges at member hospitals HealthAlliance Hospital: Mary’s Avenue Campus in Kingston and MidHudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie.

Dr. Weinstein is a member of the Medical Society of the State of New York and the American Society of Breast Surgeons. She is accomplished in advanced breast surgery procedures and techniques, including minimally invasive stereotactic breast biopsy, ultrasound-guided, vacuum-assisted breast biopsy, radionuclide injection for sentinel lymph node identification and the insertion of balloon catheters for partial-breast irradiation.

Dr. Weinstein earned her undergraduate degree from Sarah Lawrence College in Yonkers and her medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx. She completed an internship in anatomic pathology and a five-year residency in general surgery at Montefiore Medical Center.



Jeffrey M. Stewart, MD

Crystal Run Healthcare is proud to announce that Jeffrey M. Stewart, MD, was the recipient of this year’s Patient’s Choice Award for Most Engaged Physician, presented by Orange Regional Medical Center. Dr. Stewart was honored with this outstanding recognition during an event held April 25.

Dr. Stewart is a board-certified hematologist and oncologist, with additional board certifications in bone marrow transplant and internal medicine. He received his medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville and completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of South Florida College of Medicine in Tampa.

In addition, he completed fellowship training in medical oncology, hematology and bone marrow transplant at H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center at the University of South Florida in Tampa. Dr. Stewart, formerly of Hudson Valley Hematology-Oncology Associates, joined Crystal Run Healthcare in 2016 and has been providing outstanding personalized care for patients with blood disorders and cancers.



Angel Angeles, RN, MS, CCRN

Orange Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce the appointment of Angel Angeles, RN, MS, CCRN, as Nursing Administrator of Critical Care.

In his new role, Angeles will use his expertise in patient-centered care and his strong leadership skills to oversee the Cardiac ICU, Surgical ICU, Medical ICU and Progressive Care Units throughout the Hospital. He will also oversee the Central Telemetry and Dialysis units.

Angeles has more than 30 years’ experience in nursing. His most recent position was administrative nursing manager of an 18-bed cardiac and cardiac surgical ICU at Montefiore Medical Center, Weiler Hospital. He also acted as patient care director, NewYork-Presbyterian at Columbia University Medical Center, where he managed a 31-bed Cardiothoracic ICU for six years.

Angeles earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of St. Thomas in Manila, Philippines. He earned his Master of Science degree in Health Services Administration from Iona College in New York. He is pursuing his Doctor of Nursing Practice in Executive Leadership from Felician University in Lodi, New Jersey. Angeles is a member of the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses and the American Association of Nurse Executives. He is an Associate at the American College of Healthcare Executives.



Laura Ronen, MS, RD, CDE

Crystal Run Healthcare welcomes Laura Ronen, MS, RD, CDE, Clinical Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator, to the practice. Leveraging a variety of skills and expertise, Ronen offers comprehensive nutritional care, including counseling for weight control and disease management, and coordinates aspects of the practice’s diabetes education program, where she provides guidance about diabetes prevention and lifestyle modifications for patients of the practice. Ronen earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Florida International University in Miami and her Master of Science in Nutrition and Food Studies from New York University.



Sara Sargente, RN, OCN

CURE magazine, the leading consumer digital and print media enterprise focused entirely on patients with cancer, has selected Orange Regional Medical Center’s Oncology Nurse Navigator, Sara Sargente, RN, OCN, as the national winner of the 2017 Extraordinary Healer Award for Oncology Nursing. Sargente has dedicated her career to helping cancer patients and their families and has shown incredible passion in the field of oncology nursing.

Sargente is an Oncology Nurse Navigator for the Head & Neck Cancer Program and Bloodless Medicine Program at Orange Regional Medical Center. She provides support, education, guidance and coordination of care for her patients and their families from diagnosis to survivorship. As co-founder of the Oncology Nursing Society’s local chapter, Sargente serves as its President and facilitates support groups through organizations such as Support for People with Oral, Head and Neck Cancer.



Shital Shah, DO

Crystal Run Healthcare neurologist Shital Shah, DO, participated in a Meals on Wheels educational series — Alert & Alive — in May. Throughout the month, Dr. Shah presented “Movement Disorders in the Elderly” at various locations in Rockland County. Her presentations outlined common movement disorders in the elderly, such as Parkinson’s disease and restless leg syndrome, as well as risk factors for falls in the elderly, ways to improve mobility, and more.

Alert & Alive is a health and wellness program sponsored by the Office for the Aging and is offered to members in the spring and fall. The program features speakers who provide presentations on a variety of topics that improve the physical and mental well-being of members.
